Community Guidelines.
Omingle is for adults meeting other adults for casual conversation. To keep it that way, the following rules apply to everyone.
Not allowed
- Nudity, sexual content, or sexually explicit behavior.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse.
- Minors on the service. If you are under 18, do not use Omingle.
- Spam, scams, phishing, or advertising.
- Illegal activity of any kind.
- Impersonating another person or company.
Expectations
- Be respectful. Assume good intent, but leave when you don't feel it.
- Report bad behavior so we can act on it.
- Follow local laws that apply to you.
Consequences
Violations lead to warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans. Serious violations — for example, endangering a minor — result in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.
Respect people's privacy
- Don't record, screenshot or share anyone's video or messages without their permission.
- Don't share another person's personal information, like their name, address, school or social accounts.
- Don't pressure anyone to reveal personal details, turn their camera on, or move to another app.
- Never ask anyone for money, gifts or payment of any kind.
Be a good stranger
Omingle works best when people treat each other the way they'd like to be treated. Say hi before you skip someone. Respect that people come from different countries and cultures, and may be speaking their second or third language. If a chat isn't working, a quick "nice chatting, take care" before hitting Next costs nothing. More unwritten rules are in our video chat etiquette guide.
The rules apply to Companion chats too
Omingle Companions are AI chat partners, and the same standards apply. Don't try to steer them into sexual or harmful content. They're designed to decline and change the subject, and their conversations are sent to our AI provider like any other Companion chat.
How reports and bans work
Every chat has a Report button. When you report someone, the chat ends and the report is recorded with the reason you chose. If several different people report the same user within 24 hours, that user is banned automatically for 24 hours. Repeated reports within a week lead to a 7-day ban. A report that someone appears to be a minor results in an immediate 72-hour ban while it is reviewed.
Bans apply to both the network address and the browser, so they can't be dodged by simply reloading the page. Please only report genuine problems. False reports undermine the system that keeps everyone safe.
If you think you were banned by mistake
Most automatic bans are temporary and lift on their own after 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days, depending on the reason. If you believe a ban was a mistake, reach out through our contact page with the approximate date and time of your chat, and we'll take a look.
